Jamila Morrison

Construction Project Coordinator

“I feel fulfilled knowing a project has been properly managed and organized. One of the keys to a successful construction project is having all project documents in order.” – Jamila Morrison

Get to know Jamila! Her organizational skills are so meticulous; she can find a needle in a construction stack. She has been with our firm for two years and serves as our Construction Project Coordinator. She is experienced with Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC) and American Institute of Architects (AIA) standard contracts. Jamila also helps with funding coordination and compliance with grant agreements.

Cool Projects: I really enjoyed visiting the Central Disposal Facility (CDF) in Brevard County. This site visit helped me to understand all of the moving pieces required to build a landfill – several elements I never thought about previously. I had the opportunity to observe the interaction between our field associates, contractors, and clients. This observatory period helped me to better understand the importance of documentation and the role it plays in these relationships. I consider this site visit as a career stepping stone because of the newfound perspective and understanding I gained.

Fun Fact: I love to create art; whether that is with a spatula or a paintbrush in hand. In the kitchen, I really enjoy experimenting with new recipes and finding unique ways to add ‘pepper’ to my meals. When I am not cooking, I am drawing/sketching, painting and casting – anything to bring life to my artistic visions.
