Honoring 46 Years of Unrivaled Service!

When Chief Engineer Harold Bridges began work at Jones Edmunds, gas was $0.53 a gallon, The Sting won Best Picture, and 8 days later Gerald Ford became President after Richard Nixon resigned. After 46 years with Jones Edmunds, he retired on December 31, 2020. Harold received his Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees from Iowa State University, and over his career he has served as a Design Engineer, Project Engineer, and Project Manager on literally hundreds of water and wastewater projects throughout Florida. Harold consistently set a bar of excellence with his projects and garnered the unquestioned trust of our clients. He also mentored and inspired countless engineers during his career, inspiring them with his technical expertise and engaging them with his dry wit and clever personality.

Director and Co-Founder Bob Edmunds said, “Harold Bridges is an engineer’s engineer. He is insightful in master planning and preparing capital facilities plans. He works well with elected officials. He is credible and experienced and in making public presentations. He is an outstanding design engineer. Very importantly, his clients never doubt that he has their best interest paramount. It has been a great privilege to work with Harold and I wish him a well-deserved enjoyable retirement.”

It has been a pleasure working with Harold all these years. He made a lasting impact with his work and who he is as a person. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement!
