Little Jones Creek Watershed Management Plan

Southwest Florida Water Management District

Coolness Factor:

We developed a rapid inundation of the watershed very early in the process – a technique that can be done highly cost-effectively. The model setup was very quick and provided multiple benefits.

Jones Edmunds was selected to assist the Southwest Florida Water Management District’s (SWFWMD) and Sumter County with this multi-year grant-funded project to perform the Watershed Evaluation and develop the Watershed Management Plan (WMP) elements of the District-wide WMP for the Little Jones Creek Watershed in Sumter County. The nearly 40-square-mile Little Jones Creek watershed includes the City of Wildwood and the Little Jones Creek, which is a spring fed tributary of Lake Panasoffkee.
