Jones Edmunds held its third annual “Together-as-One” Peer Luncheon in April 2019. Associates from across our family of companies and offices came together to learn, share experiences, and build relationships. Mike Rickman served as moderator for the event. He began by talking about the luncheon’s purpose. He also acknowledged the vital role our Associates play in our company’s success and future. “Mike did a great job organizing the luncheon and kept it casual and engaging for everyone,” said Khizer Zaman, EI, Engineer Intern, Water Resources Discipline in Jacksonville.
The luncheon aims to give newer associates a better understanding of our company culture and interact with one another. Therefore, group activities and ice breakers were important in helping participants to get to know each other better. It added to the “Together as One” team feel of the event.
“We got to sit and interact in person with Associates from other offices and disciplines that we don’t typically get to work with in person,” said Jamie Bell, PE, CFM, Engineer, Infrastructure Discipline in Gainesville.
Furthermore, participants learned about value-based consulting. They also got to spend time with Rick Ferreira, our President/CEO and Bob Edmunds, one of our founders. Both were guest speakers at the event. Additionally, several Associates from our leadership team joined in to learn more about our newer Associates and share some of their company history.
“I enjoyed the opportunity to socialize with other team members. I got to learn more about Jones Edmunds: its vision, history, culture, and strategic objectives. Also, the presence of the leadership team and their engagement with the group speaks to the welcoming atmosphere at Jones Edmunds,” said Hatim Fadlalla, PhD, PEng, PE, Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Discipline in Tampa.
