Jones Edmunds subsidiary firm, JEACES, received recognition associated with the ACEC award for their work on the SR 9B Phase III Project. The project was awarded the ACEC Outstanding Design Build Project. The American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida annually recognizes outstanding achievement by its member firms in completing Florida transportation projects. The SR 9B Phase III contract consisted of the design and construction of SR 9B from CR 2209 to the I-95 Interchange. The project included interchanges at SR 9B/CR 2209 and SR 9B/Peyton Parkway, construction of Peyton Parkway that connected Race Track Road to SR 9B, and reconstruction of CR 2209 to accommodate the connection of SR 9B.
The project cost was $79.7 million, lasted 1,000 days, and was the third and final phase of the new SR 9B corridor. Overall, the SR 9B corridor took approximately 9 years and $240 million in construction.
JEACES provided CEI services as a subconsultant to England, Thims and Miller on the project.
