At Jones Edmunds, we support our clients through our engineering and consulting services and participation in community events. Marion County’s Run for the Springs is an annual community event held to raise awareness of the steps businesses and individuals can take to protect the area’s water resources. Proceeds are kept in Marion County for projects benefiting the health of the county’s springs. The event this year was virtual with participants running at their convenience and on a course of their choosing between April 3rd and April 17th.
This year, thanks to our team of Senior Vice President Ken Vogel, President and CEO Rick Ferreira, and Blake Lowery (Senior Vice President Terri Lowery’s proxy), Jones Edmunds was the corporate winner of the 5K event. Blake led the charge, coming in first place, with Ken Vogel taking second. Rick Ferreira placed 12th as his time was the average of a 10-mile easy run pace.
“Participating in this event demonstrates our continued support of the County and highlights the needs identified in the Wastewater Feasibility Study we are completing for the County that addresses septic systems in the County’s Springsheds,” said Ken Vogel, who serves as the client services lead for Marion County.
Congratulations team!
