Join us in congratulating Construction Administrator, Jesse Salazar, on earning his Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst (PCEA) designation!
The PCEA, a designation issued by the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA), demonstrates one’s understanding of math and statistics principles and their its application within the engineering, program management, procurement, budgeting, and accounting disciplines.
Jones Edmunds has been proudly serving the needs of local governments since 1974. As such, we are sensitive to the fiscal accountability expected by their constituents. Due to the unpredictable nature of construction costs drivers, construction cost estimating is one of the most challenging consulting tasks we perform. However, there are several tools available to develop sound cost estimates including historical Florida Department of Transportation and other bid data, outreach to vendors, and the resources in our own Quality Tool Box. However, it is important to include our experts in the process.
In addition to Jesse, our Senior Field Representative Jim Clifford, and Troy Hays, a Senior Manager over our Construction Administration department, are excellent resources when assisting our clients with the development of construction cost estimates and associated information regarding market changes and the impact those have on construction costs.
Pursuing this PCEA designation strategically aligns with Jesse’s professional development goals and the company’s direction for the Construction Administration department. Jesse is a Construction Administrator out of our Titusville office. He has 26 years of experience with construction project management and has served as a Project Manager on a variety of projects involving bidding and construction of utilities, roadways, sports facilities, and infrastructure improvements.
“I am proud to have earned this designation and am extremely happy to contribute an additional level of professional accreditation to Jones Edmunds and our clients,” says Jesse.
Jones Edmunds believes in fostering training and professional development opportunities, whether by encouraging memberships with associations such as the ICEAA, inviting subject matter experts to present to associates, and even offering continuing education courses through our very own Jones Edmunds University. Jones Edmunds University is a mentoring program that gives our associates the opportunity to receive cross training and well-rounded professional development opportunities.
