Fun Facts

Jim competed in the U.S. Department of Energy and Society of Automotive Engineers’ Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) Challenge at a time when HEVs were still only theoretical. His team with the University of Maryland won the first-ever E85 HEV Challenge, presented at the White House to the Big Three automakers, and received recognition in Popular Mechanics.
