Jones Edmunds has been supporting GRU with their Cityworks software from the initial implementation in the early 2000’s. Recent Cityworks improvement projects for water and wastewater maintenance involved several efforts to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and provide user-friendly interface updates for field user data capture efficiencies. An overhaul of work order templates and transformation of work history has enabled better analysis of preventative verse reactionary activities and costs and operations verse capital activities and costs. A workflow optimization effort implemented WebHooks for work order auto-generation and field validation rules for accurate data capture. Integration of Cityworks with GRU’s SAP-based customer information and billing software is near-ready to launch and will significantly reduce staff hours on redundant data entry.
