We prepared an alternate procedures application and Florida Department of Environmental Protection approved the request to submit a permit application for an exposed geomembrane cover closure. FDEP approved the design and construction permit application. This is the first of its kind in Florida.
Description:
Jones Edmunds provided design and permitting engineering services using an EGC closure system for the NRRL. Phase I of the EGC closure project included preparing the final grade slopes, installing the geosynthetic material, constructing a toe-drain system, and lining the adjacent perimeter stormwater ponds. We prepared bid documents, provided construction administrative services, coordinated Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) material testing, and provided full-time CQA resident observation during construction of Phase I.
