Fleet Management

St Johns County Public Works Department (SJCPW)

Coolness Factor:

The St Johns County Public Works Department (SJCPW) Fleet Maintenance Division has put programmatic asset (vehicle and equipment) replacement planning front and center, with data and visuals supporting confident decision-making and cost-effectiveness.

Description:

Jones Edmunds has supported SJCPW with Cityworks re-tooling, integrations, reports, dashboards, and training. Jones Edmunds designed Fleet’s Cityworks to look and function as a fleet management software solution. Departments are notified when preventative maintenance is due, departments are invoiced, and revenue versus shop costs are tracked. Jones Edmunds developed Cityworks integration with NAPA parts store software for automated material cost capture. Jones Edmunds also helped implement vehicle and equipment full life cycle tracking in Cityworks. New vehicles are established with purchase costs, and as vehicles are used, scoring factors are continuously calculated for age, mileage, wear and tear, and maintenance costs. Dashboards reflecting individual scores and an overall replacement score provide managers with the ability to confidently flag vehicles for replacement.
